Do you remember the day humanity ceased?

Do you remember the time you called me a beast?

Do you remember the hate, the trouble, the pain?

All this because we didn't look the same.

I stared in the mirror and I hated my skin

All because the world said we'd never fit in.

But do you remember the day somebody stood up?

Do you remember who said "now enough is enough?"

Do you remember the day we were reborn?

The time our flesh no one would scorn.

I hope you do because that day is now.

Humanity changed when our voices got loud.
